About this currency converter

This converter uses the Frankfurter currency API, which provides daily exchange rates based on reference data from the European Central Bank. No API keys, no signup, and it works directly in your browser.

How it works

We fetch the list of currencies from /v1/currencies.
When you click convert, we call /v1/latest with your amount and currency pair.
The API returns the converted amount and the date of the rate.

Limitations

Rates update about once a day, not every second like a trading terminal.
Good for travel planning, online shopping comparisons, simple conversions.
Not meant for high-frequency trading or anything that needs tick-by-tick prices.
